EVEN SCHUBERT HAS NOTHING TO SAY
EVEN SCHUBERT HAS NOTHING TO SAY
The Portrait of a Lady is a film directed by Jane Campion, based on the novel by Henry James. “Even Schubert Has Nothing to Say” is a quote from one of my favorite scenes in the film. The visual aesthetics and overall cinematography are so pure and tender that it was difficult not to be inspired by them. I’ve also made canvas paintings inspired by that same scene. That’s how I begin my process.
