After my previous series, "Bell," portraying Vanessa Bell, one of my favorite artists who was a member of the The Bloomsbury group, I tried to find other figures that fascinate me. As I was sketching between Agatha Christie and Alfred Adler, I was also watching a series of Kidman’s films. I found this film through my research on Nicole Kidman’s work. "The Portrait of a Lady" is a film directed by Jane Campion, based on the book by Henry James. “Even Schubert Has Nothing to Say” is a quote and one of my favorite scenes from the film. The visual aesthetics and overall cinematography are so pure and tender that it was difficult not to be inspired by it.
